A woman with multiple injuries was from a car wreckage and flown to hospital by air ambulance after a collision on a notorious stretch of road last night.
Fire crews were called to the crash, involving two vehicles, in an area known locally as Devils Elbow in Whalley Road, Read, at around 5.30pm.
The driver of another car and a passenger were taken to Burnley General Hospital and Blackburn Royal Infirmary.
