Budding news hound Siobhan Cooley has scooped a prestigious national award in honour of the ‘excellent’ TV programme she produces.
Siobhan, 21, of Cliviger, beat students across the UK to win the Best News Programme category in the National Student Television Awards.
The highly coveted prize was awarded in recognition of the weekly news programme she produces for Leeds Student Television.
Former St Hilda’s Roman Catholic Girls’ High School pupil Siobhan, a broadcast journalism student at The University of Leeds, is head of news for the TV station.
