Our intrepid noiseniks employ saws, sirens, kazoos and even the kitchen stove - tremendous for creating strange guitar effects, apparently - alongside a more traditional arsenal of instruments to create music of breathtaking scope.

In America, they're the darlings of the indie scene. Over here, they've just released their debut UK album The Heat Can Melt Your Brain, which pulls together influences like Grandaddy, The Beatles and Phil Spector but with an unmistakably DIY feel.
