BEST known for the theme music to Mafia series The Sopranos, Alabama 3 are one of Britain's best kept secrets. Catch them in Preston on October 15.

One of the oddest yet most original bands to come out of London in recent years, their distinctive mix of dance, country, and electronica and in particular their explosive live shows attracted huge crowds long before they had even signed a record deal.

They've taken an outlaw approach ever since, combining acid house with country and western. So it's fitting that the new album is titled Outlaw, but it's the same winning mix of dark humour and a musical collision which sounds as natural as the swamp.

Singing, rapping and preaching, Larry Love and Dr D Wayne Love continue to build their following with their outsider tales.

Alabama 3 play 53 Degrees in Preston on Saturday, October 15.
