LEISURE park operator South Lakeland Caravans is continuing its expansion - with more acquisitions in the UK and overseas.
Entrepreneur John Morphet, who started the business with one caravan park near Carnforth in 1988, is repeating his winning formula with deals agreed to buy leisure parks in Cyprus, the Peak District and West Lancashire.
The company has recently announced a record-breaking year with turnover breaking the £30 million barrier for the first time - an increase of 22 per cent on the previous year.
Operating profits for 2004/05 were £11.2 million, up 39 per cent on 2003/04.
Last year Mr Morphet embarked on his first venture in the Caribbean with the purchase of the prestigious Royal Westmoreland, Barbados.
Mr Morphet says: "Our aim at our parks, both in the UK and overseas, is to drive up quality and to offer our customers the best."
