REMEMBERING Alice McNulty who, up to her leaving us a year ago, gave us the pleasure of reading her interesting and well-written poems in 'Poet's corner,' I have saved all 'Poet's Corner' cuttings ever since its inception, so can re-read all of Alice's exceptional poems.

This is not to belittle the other poems which were printed, as they all are written by people who have something to tell us.

As a member of Burnley Writer's Circle, I know that the venues for having poems published are very limited and I'm sure that the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, with its own Poet's Corner, must give amateur poets much pleasure in seeing their efforts rewarded by having them published.

So, thank you, Aice McNulty and, thank you, the Evening Telegraph.

ALBERT J Morris, Clement View, Nelson.
