THE publishers of the Lancashire Evening Telegraph and Citizens became the latest employers to receive the Investors in People award last night.
At a dinner held at Ewood Park, American business expert Dr Mortimer Feinberg presented the prestigious award to Brenda Rudge, managing director of Newsquest (Blackburn) Ltd.
Awards were also presented to Borden Decorative Products, Darwen and The Catering Centre, Blackburn.
The North Lancs Training group, which was one of the first two East Lancashire employers to achieve IIP, also received an award after becoming the first to be successfully reassessed. More than 70 local employers have now achieved Investors in People.
