POORLY Michael Banham's best friends helped send him on a fun holiday. Children, staff and parents from Best Friends Nursery in Mort Lane, Tyldesley raised £1404 with a series of events to send Michael and his parents on a much-needed break.

Last summer fun-loving four year old Michael was struck by the rare illness - Dancing Eyes Syndrome.

Now his parents Janet and John Banham of Dunmail Close, Astley have been able to relate with parents of other sufferers at a Bognor Regis gathering. And they followed-up with a fun trip to Legoland.

"I'm sure they have benefited from speaking to others in a similar position.

"Best Friends Parent-Staff Association donated £500 and the children, staff and parents raised the rest," said nursery owner Carole Reilly, who has helped look after Michael since he was a tot.
