A FORMER college head of science has died after a heart attack at home.
Dr Peter Jackson, 71, of Pleckgate, Blackburn, retired from Blackburn College in 1983 after becoming department head in 1968.
But he continued an active role in college developments and carried out casual work there.
He leaves a widow, Mavis, and children Jill and Nick.
A service and cremation is at Pleasington tomorrow at 2.30pm and donations can be made to the SuperScan Appeal or the British Heart Foundation.
