NOT having been along Bolton Road, Darwen, for several months, I was horrified to see the new M65 flyover spanning the horizon at the top of Craven's Brow.
What an utter monstrosity. It certainly brings home the meaning of the phrase, "Not in my backyard."
As far as those residing alongside this motorway extension will be nothing less than the Highway to Hell.
As for the rest of us, we'll be able to swan along at 70 mph in our 1.7s and our 2.3s - whilst on the mobile of course.
