JASON GALLIAN is set to start his comeback in Lancashire's Bain Hogg Trophy second team game against Yorkshire at Old Trafford tomorrow.

Gallian has been out since suffering a broken knuckle trying to take a slip catch on the last day of the Championship game against Notts at Trent Bridge on May 20.

Peter Sleep rescued Lancashire yesterday with an unbeaten century after they had slumped to 148-8. Sleep shared stands of 67 with Chris Brown and 42 with trialist Michael Smethurst as Lancashire ended with a first innings lead of 21, then off-spinner Brown reduced Yorkshire to 84-4 by taking 3-28 off 21 overs.

But Lancashire had a race against time on the last day today as the game was due to finish at ten past four because of tonight's Euro 96 game at the other Old Trafford.
