BLACKBURN'S Pavilions on Church Street are worthy of the publicity you are giving them.

The Council would appear to operate a 'culling' policy on any building not deemed politically correct or to have any link with the town's heritage.

The heart of the town centre has been torn out and replaced it with concrete blobs - the highlight being the infamous Town Hall tower.

The idea of demolishing Pavilions, which the council seems intent on, has been peddled around for the last 20 years.

One of the reasons on offer is that people will have a better view of the Cathedral. That may be so, but it is not everyone's cup of tea.

And no amount of complaining will convince the people of Blackburn that the council does not have any money. Anyone who can plant those iron trees at Glenfield Park must be dripping with it.

So just for once will those Socialist councillors come clean and tell us the truth instead of always calling our bluff.
