SOMETHING for everyone ... it may be an old clich but it's exactly what Blackpool's Grand Theatre has in store for its autumn and winter season this year.

From the traditional panto for all the family to brand-new dramas, classic ballets and even a season of performances from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, whatever your favourite entertainment is, they've got it.

Many top-class drama, opera, dance and ballet companies are on their way to Blackpool, in many cases for their only North West date this year.

Theatre general manager Danny Moar has been working hard to ensure high class companies find their way into the Grand Theatre. And with the Scottish Ballet, the Opera Factory, English Touring Theatre and the ever-popular Hull Truck Theatre Company, his efforts are certainly paying off.

He said: "We are thrilled with our new season, with established Grand Theatre favourites returning and many fine new companies also visiting.

"We are particularly delighted to be re-launching our studio theatre and to see our youth theatre performing a world premiere on our main stage.

"The theatre is going from strength to strength and we are ever grateful to our many friends and corporate sponsors for their ongoing support."

One show to look out for this winter is Shakespeare's Henry VI parts One and Two, with Timothy West as Falstaff and his son Samuel as Prince Hal.

Two very different ballets will also be in town, with the Nutcracker in January and the first ever British ballet version of Bram Stoker's Dracula in November.

It certainly promises to be a grand season from November 3 and all booking information is available by calling 28372.
