PILFERING pensioners stole a wad of cash from a woman's handbag.

They struck at a stall on Preston's indoor market at 5pm on Wednesday, October 9. One distracted the stall holder while the other reached into the bag to grab the money.

They were both around 70 years old, 5ft 11ins tall and wore flat caps and glasses. One was overweight, had a speech impediment and spoke with a Scottish accent. He wore a three-quarter length grey Macintosh and Paisley scarf. His accomplice was slim and had a blue full-length overcoat.

A CHARITY bottle containing £30 in cash was stolen from the Bamber Bridge Football Club at 5.20pm on October 3.

A stocky man, about 5ft 8ins tall, was seen leaving the building wearing dark trousers and a large, yellow industrial waterproof jacket with the hood up.

AN elderly woman was knocked to the ground and suffered lacerations on her hands and back when a thief tried to steal her bag.

The attempted robbery happened on Manchester Road, Preston, around 9.45am on Sunday, October 6. The thief was male, white, 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall and in his late teens or early 20s. He had short blond hair and wore dark trousers and a grey top.

A MAN with tattoos on his knuckles and hands stole a child's mountain bike while its ten-year-old owner was playing in a school yard.

He stole the blue Townsend Marlin mountain bike from Lovat Road at 4.40pm on Sunday, October 6. He was about 30 years old, 5ft 10ins tall, had streaked blond hair and wore an orange jumper, blue denim jacket and black Reebok trainers.
