POLICE are appealing for the return of drugs left in a town centre shop, as unauthorised use of any of the 28 tablets could be exceptionally dangerous.
The medication (a mixture of 28 Mellerrill and Thioridazin tablets) was accidentally left in a Westfield Street shop at about 12.30pm on Tuesday, October 22.
After realising that the tablets had been left in the shop, the owner returned, but the tablets had gone.
A police spokesman confirmed that the tablets are anti-depressants used for psychiatric disorders and stressed: "If taken the consequences could be exceptionally dangerous as the tablets interfere with the heart's rhythm."
