AFTER cheating certain death Snowy the greyhound is now hoping for a happy ending to his "tail" of pain, suffering and neglect.

Imprisoned in a cold shed and left to die among the carcasses of four dead dogs, Snowy was in a pitiful and emaciated state.

But thanks to the RSPCA and Lexus Greyhound Rescue, he was saved in the nick of time.

Happily, after being nursed back to health, six-year-old Snowy is currently being fostered by Jennifer Payne of All Saints Road, Lytham, but unfortunately she already has two other greyhounds to care for.

Kind-hearted Jennifer said: "I'd love to keep Snowy as well as my other two rescue dogs Beauty and Goldie, but it is just not possible.

"He desperately needs a very kind and loving home with someone who can give him all the attention he deserves.

"He has a fabulous nature, in fact he doesn't have a nasty bone in his body.

"He is also great with other animals and children. My grandchildren adore him and he adores them.

"People think greyhounds don't make good pets, but I know they do as they are very intelligent and sensitive.

"And contrary to public opinion, they don't need a lot of walking."

Pat Graham, founder of Lexus Greyhound Rescue, which homes abandoned and abused dogs all over the country, said: "Snowy has been neutered and has an identity chip.

"He is toilet trained and in my opinion would make a wonderful family pet. He really does need a second chance."

If you feel you can help Snowy lap up some of life's luxuries by giving him a good home please call Jennifer on 725121, or if you would like information about other greyhounds in need of love and affection please call Pat on 01204 668589.
