KIND-HEARTED aunt Julie Clark has stepped into Santa's shoes to bring some Christmas joy to her ailing nephew.
Julie, along with her boss at Legends on Bolton Street, Blackpool, have arranged a special fund-raising day so they can buy festive gifts for five-year-old Nathan Healey, who was recently diagnosed with leukaemia.
Legends landlord Murray Macleod is inviting Fylde folk to come along on December 14 to raise cash to buy presents for Nathan, his brother Adam and mum Marie who all live in Burnley.
Just two months ago, everyone saw Nathan as a lively and bright little boy, but after the death of his beloved grandmother, his health seemed to deteriorate.
On the advice of relatives Marie took him to the doctor, who thought he had a virus, but tests revealed he had leukaemia.
Now Nathan is at Pendlebury Children's Hospital in Manchester for treatment.
Julie said: "I knew I had to do something to help out and I wanted to make sure Christmas was as stress-free as possible for Marie.
"And Mr Macleod straight away suggested we hold a fund-raising day here for the family so we can buy Christmas presents.
"Marie is sending me a list of things Nathan and Adam would like and we will also get a hamper for Marie herself."
Everyone is invited to Legends from 10.30am to take part in the fund-raising which will include a raffle and a disco.
