EAST Lancashire came out of the drink-drive league with figures soaring above the rest of the country.
Figures released by the police showed that in the Blackburn and Burnley divisions there were 59 motorists arrested for drink driving, 11 involved in accidents.
The East Lancashire total was more than half the county figure of 111 positive tests in just eight days of the Christmas clampdown.
