TRANSFER-LISTED Kurt Nogan admitted today: "I'm ready to quit Turf Moor."

Manager Adrian Heath made the dramatic decision after Nogan failed to report for training on Sunday after his baby daughter fell ill.

But in an exclusive interview with the Lancashire Evening Telegraph Nogan revealed he had had a furious dressing room row with Heath after Friday's 3-2 defeat at Peterborough.

He said: "I want to set the record straight over this. This is nothing to do with me not signing my contract or me missing training-it's all about last Friday.

"We had a dis- agreement after the game. I feel he partly blamed me for that defeat and he singled me out for criticism.

"I simply spoke up for myself. I said to him: 'Okay, then, if there is anybody better in the team then play them.' I'm proud of my appearances and goals I've scored for Burnley. I feel very hurt and angry.

"I thought last Friday was a dressing room thing but obviously it's more than that.

"I'm bitter about what has happened. I may have to accept that my Burnley career is over.

"When he told me I was on the list I was shocked. I've told the manager I don't want to be considered for the squad unless I'm in the first team. I really mean that. "I'm not going to sit on the bench. I'm not a bench player.

"As far as I'm concerned there is no way I will be anywhere near Blackpool on Boxing Day.

"The whole thing has arrived as a bombshell for me. But I have just got to take it on the chin.

"He didn't play his best team against Walsall-because he didn't play me.

"I'm training with the reserves today and I'll sit out the last six months of my contract playing with the second team. Then I'll move to the continent for nothing. That doesn't worry me. It's just how I feel today.

"If Burnley don't want me then I'll have to move on. They've made their intentions clear.

"I'll got out on loan anywhere. Division One, Two or Three. I'm sure there's a club out there who would snap me up.

"I know I can play at a higher level and there will be teams interested.

"I'm totally fed up with this situation. I want it resolved one way or the other. If Burnley want me out then the club should sell me.

"But if they genuinely want me to stop then I'm happy to do that.

"But something has got to be sorted out in the next few weeks to decide my future."

The Clarets striker only returned from Luton yesterday after his baby daughter fell ill with a virus over the weekend.
