SO Michael Hindley has been suspended from the European Labour Group because he won't sign the new code of practice. Ah, shame!
Now Michael, you must remember that you have to obey Peter and Alistair (the Pinky and Perky of British politics), failing to do so is a mortal sin. You know the rules, sit there, say nowt, and if you do as you are told you'll get a sugar lump and a pat on the head from Tony.
In a way, it's just the same at Hyndburn Council. Nobody but Sturmbahnfuhrer Slynn is allowed to have a say. The rest just sit there, listen to his proclamations, then raise their hands in agreement when the Fuhrer pulls the strings.
If this is New Labour, you can stuff it.
