THE Muslim festival of Eid was celebrated with a special event at Nelson Civic Theatre.
The Pendle-based Kashmir Working Group organised the celebration to thank people who helped the group raise awareness in the area of the people in Kashmir.
The KWG organised a week of events last month supported by Pendle Council and Amnesty International to highlight the plight of people in Kashmir and raise money.
Special thanks was paid to Bob Wells, the father of Blackburn student and Kashmir hostage Paul Wells, who launched the events.
