THE Lancashire Evening Telegraph's comments on the decision to put VAT on fuel bills were praised in a heated Parliamentary debate.
Pendle MP Gordon Prentice said: "The Lancashire Evening Telegraph was spot on when it said that VAT on fuel was forced on the Government by an exploding deficit which had to be paid for."
