A WHITE Rolls Royce - and some pink carnations . . . factory worker Deirdre Hodgkiss rode home in style after retiring from Volex Powercords in Leigh.
Young-at-heart Deirdre was stunned when workmates ordered the luxury limo to glide her home after 60th birthday and retirement celebrations.
They showered her with gifts and best wishes as she prepared for a life with no more Monday mornings.
"I'll miss 'em all but I won't miss work," said Deirdre, of Milton Street, Leigh. "I started when I was 14.
"I'm never stuck for words, but I was with this. It was absolutely brilliant."
