YOUR letter headed: "Ear, listen to this" (Citizen letters, July 23) is an exaggeration of public feeling and is purely a personal prejudice.

The open air concerts are an effort to attract visitors to Morecambe and the noise from Summerbreeze could only be heard faintly within the locality.

The promenade, when completed, will be another incentive for people to visit Morecambe with it being wider.

The traffic calming on the promenade will ensure Morecambe is a safe place for cars to go down allowing people in cars to enjoy the views across the bay.

Just to round off my letter could I ask the correspondent to have the guts to submit their names if he or she really believes what they state in the Press?
