Sally Forrest, pictured, a Year 7 pupil of St Mary's High School, Blackpool, writes:
I STARTED flower arranging when my mum told me about a junior flower club. It is a club which meets every first Monday of the month.
Every month there is a theme and there are three women who teach us. Maureen Ashworth is the teacher who usually demonstrates and there is also Anne and Pat who sometimes come and help out .
About a year after I started. Maureen told us about the Chelsea Flower Show, an annual event which is held in London for three days. Because I was with a junior flower club I got automatic entry every time I entered.
With some help from my mum and a lot of support from my dad and younger sister, I completed my picture and entered the show in 1996. This was such a good picture I won a bronze award.
I also entered in 1997 and this year but did not manage to win anything. This year's entry was based on the theme inspired by magic and I did a collage of four playing cards and a dice.
This year's entry was probably the most challenging yet - it was easy to think about but difficult to design.
I hope to enter Chelsea in 1999 and make it my best ever.
