HOSPITALITY sales manager Trish Brockbank believes in the service with a smile approach at Deepdale.

Being in charge of the hospitality of sponsors on match days, a lot of responsibility is placed on Trish as the 'face behind Preston North End'.

She works closely with local businesses to bring them to PNE games - something she doesn't have much of a problem selling.

She said: "I've been told by a number of clients that what we offer is easily Premiership service."

Trish also added that the match is used by a lot of local businessmen to talk between themselves. "They like to feel comfortable and use our facilities to network - it's nice to be able to offer them this service."

PNE fan Trish, from Fulwood, puts in a lot of hours but says it's all for the love of the club.

"I've supported North End all my life and I love the club so I never mind putting the hard work in."

Organisation and communication skills are something Trish has and needs in order for her to excell in her job.

"I like to think I'm good at dealing with people - which I need to do. Hospitality is very important at football grounds and Preston North End realise this."

Trish also believes that hospitality is for anybody and not just businessmen.

"Too many people think that you need your own business or a lot of money to do it but you don't. Last year 30 mates got together and were the match ball sponsors - they and we had a great time."

She likes to look after her clients and at the same time enjoy herself.

"In the past I've only had part-time jobs and I always said that if I was to go full time then it would be something I would enjoy."

"And I enjoy my job. It's fun dealing with clients because we have a laugh and talk football."

However there are other times, especially when she's very busy, that Trish finds it a bit too hard to laugh.

This serious side comes while preparing for big match days like when Manchester City visit Deepdale.

"That match will be massive for the club. Our usual capacity is 250 in the Great Room but we are looking to extend it for that game."

But whatever the game,Trish will not complain, as long as North End keep winning.
