RADCLIFFE Carnival takings this year were an all-time low. A decision on how to distribute the £500 will be made when the organising committee meets soon.
Chairman Mr Ray Vevers said: "Obviously I'm very disappointed. Usually we make at least £800 and our highest ever amount was £1,200. I think the bad weather was mainly to blame."
He said the committee would discuss what went wrong and try to ensure it did not happen again.
The June carnival was branded an embarrassing washout. Community apathy combined with last-minute problems and torrential rain to make it the worst carnival anyone could remember.
