HOPES that Ewood Park would be ready for Blackburn Rovers' opening game of the season against Norwich were boosted by safety inspectors.
A team from Lancashire County Council and Blackburn Council toured the ground to see how work on the new Darwen End stand was progressing.
A county council spokesman said: "There is no reason to doubt that the work will be completed."
