RESIDENTS in Bradda Road, Blackburn, have sent a petition to the council complaining about badly-behaved and foul-mouthed children.

Householders allege that children play football on a small field near the road and use threatening and abusive language when asked to move.

Council staff have advised the residents to contact the police if the youngsters begin to play in a way which would cause damage to cars and houses.

The residents have also been told that the parents of the children involved may be in breach of their tenancy agreement if their offspring are causing damage.

Parents would be notified of their children's behaviour under the council's neighbour nuisance strategy.

Residents have also complained about football fans parking their cars on Bradda Road on match days at Ewood Park.

Police have been informed of the problems and have been asked to consider the possibility of using traffic cones to stop fans parking in the road when Rovers are at home.

The council's housing manageement sub-committee will consider the petition at a meeting on Tuesday.
