VEHICLE owners have been warned to be on their guard following a wave of thefts in Rossendale totalling thousands of pounds.
In the most serious incident over the weekend, a van valued at £55,000 was stolen from the car park of Snow King Frozen Foods in Grane Road, Haslingden.
A red Ford Fiesta, valued at £2,000, was stolen from Hillside Road, Haslingden. And a red Vauxhall Astra, worth £750, was stolen from the car park of the Rose 'n' Bowl, Newchurch Road, Stacksteads.
A red Austin Metro City was found burnt-out after being stolen from Underbank House, Bacup. The vehicle had the registration D709 ODS. A white Fiat saloon, registered M635 BHY, was also found burnt-out on a secluded country lane in Bacup after being taken from Cooper Street in the town. It was worth around £6,000.
A white Ford Orion, registration F125 GLC, was stolen from Market Street, Whitworth.
And a blue Peugeot 106, worth £5,000, registration L386 KBA, was stolen from Market Street, Shawforth.
