ENTHUSIASTS held an event at Osbaldeston Riding Centre, Osbaldeston to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Land Rover.
Members of Red Rose Land Rover Club came from all over the country with 34 vehicles between 40 and 50 years old, many of which are still in use.
The event sponsored by Hillendale dealership, Nelson, featured a drivers' gymkhana involving balancing the Land Rovers on a giant see-saw and a dozen other challenges, followed by a trailer reversing competition and an off-road course.
The prize for the best 80-inch Land Rover in everyday use was won by Hazel Battersby, of Bamber Bridge, and the best condition vehicle prize was won by Andrew Bullas, of Windmill Garage, Blackburn.
Club member Peter Griffin said they hoped to make it an annual event at the riding centre.
"We would like to thank Norman Bargh, who owns the riding centre, for letting us use his land," he said.
