IT'S getting near that nuisance time again - when fireworks are on sale.

Now that bangers and mini-rockets have been outlawed, I wonder how long it will be before we see a ban on packs of single-shot and twin-shot airbombs, whistling airbomb rockets, whistling stars rockets, big report display rockets, large display rockets of loud aerial reports/whistles/bangs etc.

All of these create disturbance as well, particularly airbombs which are used by teenagers and children alike.

I would remind all shopkeepers to be difficult with teenagers of 18 and above. If they try to buy them for under-age kids, simply refuse them.

Don't sell and call the police if they are difficult and won't go out of the shop until you serve them with fireworks.

Sometimes this is the only way to make them realise that you are not going to break the law for their sakes.
