The Young Gymnast by Joan Jackman, published by Dorling Kindersley, £5.99.

THIS book is very sporty. It teaches you about the practical side of gymnastics as well as some of the facts. We learned, for instance, that gymnastics has been going on for 3,000 years and was started in Roman times. The best part of the book is where it shows you how to do skills such as a bridge, a cartwheel and other gymnastics jumps and leaps.

Our opinion of the book is that it taught us a lot. We enjoyed reading it because we will be able to try some of the moves when we go to gymnastics club.
