POLICE were called to a house in Haslingden where a son was causing a disturbance in his parents' home, magistrates heard.
They found a considerable amount of damage to doors, utensils and crockery in the kitchen of the house in Maple Avenue and the father physically restraining the son, said Lesley Williams, prosecuting at Rossendale.
Mark Robert Lewis, 21, was using bad language, and was staggering and extremely drunk.
When his father loosened his grip, Lewis lunged at him, said Mrs Williams.
Lewis, of Hargreaves Street, Haslingden, admitted causing a breach of the peace and was bound over in the sum of £100 to keep the peace for a year.
Solicitor Kevin Bamber said Lewis was extremely drunk and had no recollection of the incident. He apologised.
