FINISHING line manager Chris Wareing is operating on a whole "new level" after achieving a high calibre management qualification.
Chris, an employee at Burnley-based Ashworth Diecasting, has just gained Level Four NVQ in management through Eltec's Management Development Centre. The qualification aims to assist local managers to make effective changes and improve their company's competitiveness, productivity and profitability.
But for Chris it also meant improved career prospects, including a move from Tenneco-Walker (UK) Ltd to a higher management position at Ashworth Diecasting.
He said: "I have been in management for a number of years but until recently I never had a formal management qualification. I chose the NVQ Four because it was the most relevant and since all the work related to my job, I would be able to reap the benefits immediately."
