THE MAYOR of Hyndburn has thrown his support behind an Imperial Cancer Research 'pink ribbon' campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer.
Coun Ian Ormerod invited Judith Wright, manageress of the charity's Accrington Broadway shop, along to Accrington town hall to help promote the fund-raising.
Ribbons go on sale next week at Imperial Cancer Research shops nationwide, including Accrington, Blackburn and Clitheroe.
The Accrington shop needs volunteers and anyone interested in lending a hand can pop in for a chat, or ring 01254 872206.
