TRUE Brit Allan Farrimond got on his bike for charity!

The maintenance electrician, from Upton Road, Atherton, cycled from London to Paris to raise cash for the British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Allan, normally a non-cyclist, took four days to ride the 300 miles and raise £800 for the appeal.

He prepared for the journey by riding to and from his workplace in Warrington.

Factory Direct Cycles in Atherton loaned him a bike for the gruelling trip. 709/31/14a
