Higginshaw nil West Sutton Dragons 22 DRAGONS notched up their second Division One success against a strong Higginshaw outfit.

A well worked move by Johnson and Taylor resulted with loose-forward C Simm scoring under the posts for E Stubbs to convert. Higginshaw then enjoyed their best spell of the game but could not break down the Dragons defence.

The second half opened up with both teams struggling in atrocious weather. However, Dragon soon began to get on top. A great run from his own line by stand-off Alan Whitrow saw him link up with wing man M Leyland who went in from 50 yards. Stubbs converted.

Next centre Chris Wilson who ran from one side of the 25 yard line to score in the opposite corner to put Dragons well on top. Sean McNamara scored the last try under the post after a good move from centre Ste Dudley converted by Stubbs.

The Green Dragon man of the match award was Craig Simm and he was well supported by W Johnson and S Dudley.
