I AM trying to trace two ladies from the war years after coming across a letter from that period.
They are Joan and Heather, the grandchildren of a man named Robert who lived in Blackburn.
Unfortunately, I do not know their surnames.
My reason wanting to contact them is that Robert, Joan and Heather have the same American connections as me family-wise, as my father was born in America, and I am anxious to trace my roots.
My mother told me little or nothing about him, apart from the fact he was severely wounded whilst serving with The Lancashire Fusiliers in 1914-18.
I hope that Joan and Heather may recognise themselves as the ones I wish to trace and if contact is established, I will be overjoyed.
