RAINFORD Cricket Club secured promotion back to the Southport and District League top flight on Saturday, despite the rain being the only victor in their match at Burscough. The six points from a rain-affected fixture were more than ample.
The Second XI's season also finished with a rained off fixture at home to Maghull as they ended the season camped midway in Southport League Division Three.
