I WAS in tears when I read that Blackpool FC players were disgruntled and angry at being expected to pay for their own boots this season.
These pampered young men should now show their gratitude to Fila UK, the sponsors who came to their aid, by starting a fund to raise money to buy shoes for people such as local pensioners and single parents for whom the cost can really be a financial problem.
