BURY business chiefs will be involved in a Trans-Atlantic video link up with their American counterparts.

And exporters or importers wanting to break into lucrative USA markets can save themselves the flight by taking part in the hi-tech activity.

The free video conference is being staged by Bolton Bury Export Club on Monday, September 28 at Bolton's Reebok Stadium.

Club chairman is Radcliffe businessman Mr Peter Weidenbaum, managing director of the town's Trumeter company.

The video link up will be with Miami's international traders including Chamber of Commerce representatives, lawyers, bankers, British Consul and Florida-based UK business people.

Their Bury and Bolton counterparts will include a range of North West and national experts in training, enterprise, economic development, international trade, including active exporters, international finance and distribution.

More than half the conference will be devoted to questions from the audience - allowing maximum participation by North West businesses.

Mr Weidenbaum said: "We have a wide cross section of organisations attending the event and are looking forward to a lively debate and to giving local companies a head start in developing US trading links.

"Our thanks must go to sponsors Miami Chamber of Commerce, Bolton Bury Training and Enterprise Council, BT, Government Office North West, DTI Overseas Trade Services."

Free tickets are available to Bury exporters and importers by ringing Neal Massey on 01204 397350.
