THE Lancashire, Greater Manchester and South Cumbria region of the Multiple Sclerosis Society supports and represents the 21 branches in the areas, encouraging joint work of mutual benefit and providing a regional focus for promoting the society's aims and objectives.
As a region, we are able to attract guest speakers of the highest
quality.
The region has two meetings annually and each branch takes its turn as the host. The meetings are open to all those who have an interest in multiple sclerosis.
The Autumn meeting is to be held at 1.30pm on Saturday, October 17, 1998, at the Pendleton Brook Centre, George Street, Clitheroe.
Guest speakers are Mr Giles Elrington, consultant neurologist at the Oaks Hospital, Colchester, and Mrs Sarah Phillips, voluntary member of the MS Society executive board, chairperson of the Homes Committee and candidate for the election of the new chairperson of the MS Society.
This meeting is intended to provide information with entertainment and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon is guaranteed.
To assist with catering and to provide directions and further information, anyone wishing to attend can leave a message for the voluntary regional secretary, Stuart Coates, by phone on 01254 813817 or by e-mail on StuartCoates@compuserve.com
