A WOMAN who tried to smuggle heroin in a condom to her boyfriend has won her freedom.
Susan Kenny, 21, went to see Paul Plowright in Preston Prison, where guards saw her putting something into her mouth. As she leaned forward, she was stopped and prison officers found the condom containing the drugs, Burnley Crown Court heard.
Kenny, of Oxford Road, Burnley, has already served the equivalent of a 12-month jail term and Recorder Leonard Goldstone QC said it was for that reason he would give her two years probation.
Alan Wolstenholme, defending, said Kenny had been threatened by two of Plowright's friends.
