T N TAYLOR (Sports Letters, June 8) berates Blackburn Rovers board for charging season ticket holders the same price for the coming season as they paid last season in the Premier League.

In my opinion, the Board have been very reasonable with their price structures for next season, resulting in a reduction per match, as the following examples show.

Last season, my adult Blackburn End lower tier season ticket cost £299, which, divided by 19 games, gives an average match cost of £15.74. This season the same seat, at the same price, divided by 23 home games, gives an average match cost of £13.

Now, in whatever way you do the sums, this coming season fans are getting admission to Ewood Park for less.

I and other members of my family have already renewed our tickets for this coming season. Hopefully, lots more Rovers supporters will do likewise.

So, let's have less moaning and for once give the Board some credit for this season's reductions, and the many other pricing policy changes also being implemented.
