TWO developers have put in bids for Pendle Council-owned land off York Street, Nelson.
The site, which runs down the back of houses in neighbouring Bath Street, has been earmarked for housing.
Last October Maunders Westbury offered to buy the 6.25 acre site for £313,995 plus £65,000 towards creating a public area in a former quarry next to the land.
Now Wiggett Homes, of Chadderton, Oldham, have put in a £315,000 bid plus £65,000 towards providing an equipped play area and open space in the quarry, the council's resource management committee will be told tonight.
