I NEVER thought I'd bow to that long-term unemployed public assistance claimant, Prince Philip, but how right he is to put a stop to the liberalisation, led by striving-to-be-trendy Prince Charles, of royal receptions that saw gay guests being invited with their partners.

This follows the Queen hosting a do for her 36 chaplains and some former chaplains being asked to bring a friend regardless of their sex.

Some brought boyfriends and a pair of gay priests exchanged a kiss at the event.

The upshot was an angered Phil bringing in this ban.

Quite right, too - as he's in tune with public opinion on this.

For isn't the trouble with the gays that they will persist in foisting their standards on the rest us when we don't want to know?

What the law allows is gay sex between consenting adults in private - which is what most of us will tolerate.

We don't want gay vicars snogging in public or any of the rest of the rampant gay culture which too many are afraid to oppose, lest they be called bigots.

But it's shoved at the repelled majority all the time.

And it's so refreshing for a halt to be called for once.

Let's have more.
