ATHERTON COLLS plan to make a big impact on the junior football scene.
Manager Alan Lord is determined teams from Alder House will be in the running for honours at every level.
And to that aim the club will be running a series of summer coaching schools . . . "a move towards what we see as the Atherton Colls Soccer Academy," said Lord.
Coaching sessions will be held between June 28 and August 13 at Alder House. Ages 8, 9, 10 and 11s will be catered for Monday-Friday (10am-1pm at £20 per week). The 12s, 13s and 14s will be in the afternoon (1.30-4.30pm), also at £20 per week.
Qualified FA coaches will supervise sessions which will include passing, shooting and heading techniques, five-a-side competitions and penalty shootouts with T-shirts, prizes and certificates also on offer. Details on 01942-871862.
The club also aim to cater for "football daft" youngsters by hosting kids birthday parties with a heavy soccer theme.
Suitable for any age between 6-12, the outdoor pitch will be available for skills coaching, five-a-side games and competitions.
T-shirts and prizes will also be presented, with the whole thing topped off with an indoor buffet.
