St Mary's RC High's PTA hosted a murder evening with the DeadEnders staging the 60s mystery "Tis A Pity She Died".
Some 125 "detectives" packed into the Astley church hall, each eagerly awaiting murder, bloody murder!
Fred Barnes hosted the event, and pictured are Joanna Yates and Yvonne Parkinson, two of the chief suspects in the murder of librarian Harriet Paige (Dora Hodgkinson), enjoy the party atmosphere in the prelude to the deadly deed.
Also in the cast were David Parkinson, playing a flamboyant fashion designer, Viktor Batrak, David Farrell, Katherine Roberts, Margaret Hall and David Hodgkinson, who wrote the story.
DeadEnders, who recently donated £200 to the Kosovo Appeal, will be back on the murder trail in September.
They will be staging the Victorian thriller "From a Will To a Wail" for St Richard's RC Junior School.
