There are too many blots on our green and pleasant land, caused by people who cut corners to save tip fees and deposit their junk in the countryside.
The businessman was appealing against the sentence saying he could not afford to pay the fine, so the judge gave him three months to clear up his rubbish and then he will consider the matter again.
But he gave him and other potential illegal tippers a stark warning that the courts consider such antisocial activity a serious crime - almost on the same level as arson.
Well done, your honour! Such action is needed if our beautiful countryside is to be conserved.
